The Complexity Of Historic
Remodels.
We Use Cellular PVC to Create a fire retardant, Waterproof Version Of The Original Piece.
Antique buildings always require upkeep, even after a complete remodel. One way to ensure that your upkeep and replacement costs stay low is to use cellular PVC in areas exposed to moisture such as trim. Or update ornamental decorations that were historically wood, stone or plaster that are distorted or failing which can lead to bigger problems and possible damage. Sky is the limit on the interior and exterior applications of PVC for replicating historic relics. It will look and feel like wood, but it outperforms natural wood due to material durability and water resistance.
We work from remnants and drawings to replicate the original piece. The most important aspect of our build is the dimensions for installment. Due to the complexity and intricate designs that come with historical fixtures, we prefer to build as much in the workshop to assure the build quality and reduce time with adjustments onsite.
- Don’t settle for something out of a catalogue that looks nothing like the original. We can replicate it.
- Cellular PVC can be less expensive than natural wood per square foot, and can be milled for the same aesthetic result.
- Most historical ornaments are ubiquitously repeated throughout the property, we scale so you don’t have to deal with supply chain issues.
